Our school has extensive and attractive playing areas. Kindergarten students have their own play equipment and separate play space. Students in Years 1 and 2 have a separate area. Funds raised by the P&C in 2009 will specifically be used for Year 1 and 2 students. Primary students have a large playing space which they use for games such as soccer, football and cricket. In addition, there is playground equipment and areas which allow for bush exploration and more passive activities. Our library is also open at lunch times to cater for indoor games and quiet reading. At Curl Curl we have a thriving and productive vegetable garden where students can spend lunchtimes finding their ‘green thumbs’. Both the infants and primary playgrounds have Covered Outdoor Learning Areas for eating morning tea and lunch and where assemblies are conducted.
The school is situated next to John Fisher Reserve and Curl Curl Lagoon. We are able to use the netball courts and sports fields for sport on Fridays, and the lagoon and its surrounds for environmental education and field study throughout the year.
