Environmental Education at Curl Curl North
Environmental education increases a student's knowledge and awareness of the environment. Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 are involved in learning experiences across the curriculum which help them to develop an understanding of local and global environmental issues. The SEMP (School Environmental Management Plan) outlines ways that we can become a more environmentally sustainable community. The parent ‘Green Team’ and the student 'Teenie Weenie Greenies' are involved in a range of projects to promote sustainability.
The Eco Garden, built by parent volunteers, and maintained by teachers and students provides an opportunity for students to learn about growing and harvesting vegetables.
